ABS Plastic Profiles can be a Lower Cost
Polycarbonate Replacement and PVC Alternative

Contact Plastic Extrusion Manufacturer about ABS Plastic ProfilesABS is a wonderful, easy to use, all around plastic material that is based on three materials. The material has good impact strength along with good rigidity. ABS is relatively lightweight, has great colorability and is used in the automotive industry, for household appliances and can be electroplated.

ABS profiles do not have the greatest chemical resistance (beware of fingernail polish remover), do not like years of sunlight exposure and have an upper service temperature of about 180° (F). We offer a non-halogenated flame retardant grade of ABS plastic for production of RoHS compliant ABS profiles.

ABS Plastics for Polycarbonate Replacement, PVC Alternative

We extrude ABS profiles for a number of customer applications. Some consider ABS profiles as lower cost replacements for Polycarbonate. ABS plastic can be used as an alternative to PVC in many applications.

Major markets for ABS plastic profiles include:
  • appliances
  • automobiles
  • canoes
  • communication and electronic devices
  • furniture
  • lawn and garden equipment
  • luggage
  • office equipment
  • pipes and fittings
  • recreational vehicles
  • sporting goods
  • toys

Recycled ABS Plastics

Keller Products utilizes post-industrial recycled ABS plastic in its ABS plastic profiles. Recycled ABS is typically black. Large scale corporate and municipal ABS recycling programs are on the rise. Major recycling initiatives in the automobile, appliance, and electronics industries will increase the use of ABS plastic regrind in manufacturing ABS plastic profiles, thus reducing waste.
