Extruded Plastic Profiles, Plastic Profile Extrusions, Thermoplastic Elastomers
ABS Profiles
ABS is a wonderful, easy to use, all around plastic material that is based on three materials. The material has good impact strength along with good rigidity. ABS is relatively lightweight, has great colorability and is used in the automotive industry, for household appliances and can be electroplated.
Antimicrobial Profiles
The beauty of using Antimicrobial plastic rather than other solutions is that the Antimicrobial properties are embodied within the plastic itself rather than just topically applied, so that the Antimicrobial benefits cannot be washed away.
Biodegradable Profiles
Biodegradable plastics generally achieve best and fastest composting results in commercial composting environments. When considering plastic for your biodegradable plastic profiles, it's important to ascertain that the plastic product will perform as it is intended.
Coextruded Profiles
Coextrusion is the process of combining two or more materials into a single custom plastic profile. Coextrusion is an extremely versatile processing technology that can create custom plastic profiles embodying different characteristics (flexible in certain areas and rigid in others).

Extruded Plastic Employment
We are looking for a hands-on individual with skills to run a plastic extrusion line. Duties include: Equipment set-up, Oversee extrusion runs to specifications, Quality control checks and Equipment teardown.
Extruded Plastic Profile Capabilities
We can deliver the following capabilities with extruded plastic profiles: Coextrusion, Fabrication, Embossing/Lamination, Color Matching, Injection Molding, Punching/Notching and Packaging, Stereolithography, Powder Coating and Twin Screw/Profile Line.
Extruded Prototypes
With our Technology Center's Prototyping Extrusion Line and R & D staff, we can offer you samples in quantities as little as 10 feet or semi-production runs of over 1,000 feet. We can run a number of different profiles to give you some options, or run your profile in multiple materials.
Flame Retardant Profiles
The flame retardant package that is added to the thermoplastic material must be effective, utilized at a minimum loading, and be safe. They cannot affect any of the properties of the material or adversely affect processing it. Keller Products has developed several new Flame Retardant profiles that offer a number of interesting properties.
Free Tooling
With our industry-leading engineers and two in-house machine shops, we design, build and maintain custom tools to meet our customers' plastic profile needs. As a partner, we are able to offer free tooling programs to many of our customers.
Glow in the Dark Profiles
Our KelBriteT Glow in the Dark profiles begin with a "bright" glow which loads quickly and decays over a period of time. Our formulation will last at least 8 hours under typical darkness and can be activated by either artificial or natural light in as little as one hour. The "bright glow" performance of our Glow in the Dark profiles is UV stable.
Green, Recycled Profiles
We at Keller are committed to practicing the "Principles of Green Chemistry" and to continually strive to create new and better processes using cutting edge materials that are human and eco-friendly. Because of our knowledgeable staff and years of experience, we can create plastic profiles with a smaller environmental footprint.
Nanotechnology Profiles
Nanotechnology is one of the most exciting areas of research and development in plastics today. This twenty-first century advancing science is made possible by breakthroughs in our ability to understand, measure, manipulate, and control matter at a molecular scale (less than 100 nanometers in size - one-billionth of a meter). Some believe that Nanotechnology promises to be the springboard for revolutionizing the plastics industry and will result in new technologies that will pervade every sector of our economy and impact all of our lives.
NSF, Latex Free Profiles
Flexible PVC is an excellent material for the use in latex-free profiles. Flexible PVC costs less by weight than rubber or TPEs and provides significantly greater clarity. Flexible PVC is readily solvent-bonded, more kink-resistant (in tubing) and exhibits less neck-down (width/breadth narrows) when stretched. Flexible PVC is generally known to be the most cost-effective, high-performance material used in Latex-free profiles.
Nylon Profiles
Nylon is extremely tough and impact resistant along with exhibiting good abrasion resistance (fishing line and weed trimmer line). Nylon profiles have very good solvent resistance but keep in mind it will absorb moisture which will affect its stiffness - lower it. Nylon is pretty good for outdoor use with the proper stabilization package.
Plastic Extrusion Profile Manufacturer, Home
Manufacturer of plastic extrusion profiles whose mission is to provide customers with more than extruded plastic profiles. We deliver innovation. We guarantee quality, service and value. Everyday!
Polycarbonate Profiles
Polycarbonate is an excellent material for plastic profiles. Polycarbonate profiles have great stiffness, toughness, impact resistance and are clear. The have excellent colorability with a beautiful gloss finish that can mimic glass and metal. Polycarbonate profiles have very good electrical insulation characteristics, do not burn readily, and some people claim that Polycarbonate can be considered "self extinguishing."
Polyethylene Profiles
Polyethylene is a fairly "old" material first developed in the 1930's. Polyethylene is one of the lowest cost materials and has some amazing properties. Polyethylene profiles have good impact strength from as low as -40° C up to 80° C. Polyethylene profiles are considered to be fairly "flexible" and have excellent chemical resistance along with resistance to moisture absorption.
Polypropylene Profiles
Polypropylene is naturally translucent, and when colored produces plastic profiles with a glossy finish. Polypropylene profiles are easy to process, and have good chemical resistance along with fair impact strength. Polypropylene has very good resistance to repetitive stress so this material is often preferred in applications requiring hinging or bending motions.
Polystyrene Profiles
Polystyrene profiles are easy and inexpensive to produce. Because Polystyrene can be transparent it offers excellent colorability in plastic profiles. Polystyrene has outstanding electrical properties, good thermal and dimensional stability but low to poor resistance to solvents.
Profile Design, Engineering
The profile design process begins with an idea. Our industry-leading engineers who hold multiple degrees in plastics Engineering and have many years of experience will work side by side with you on the design of your plastic profile.
PVC Profiles
PVC can be made very rigid and strong for use in construction and pipes, or as flexible as needed for use in fabric and carpets. PVC is extremely versatile with a wide variety of resin types. It is relatively inexpensive and easy to process. PVC profiles have pretty good chemical resistance, water and weather resistance, offer fair thermal stability, have excellent electrical insulation properties, have fair heat resistance, and are inherently flame retardant because of the halogen, chlorine.
Rapid Prototype Profiles
Using stereolithography, we have the ability to convert two-dimensional CAD drawings into tangible, three-dimensional rapid prototype models within a matter of hours. This rapid prototyping technology, also known as 3-D layering or 3-D printing, enables us to help you gain a true visualization of how your plastic profile will look upon completion.
Thermoplastic Elastomers
Introduced in the 1960's, thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE's) are materials with rubberlike flexibility and extensibility - the ability to snap back quickly after being extended to twice their original length. thermoplastic Elastomers have a wide range of hardnesses and can absorb vibrations (energy). There are many types of Thermoplastic Elastomers; we work mostly with the Styrenics, Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (TPUs) and Thermoplastic Olefins (TPOs).

Wood Composite Profiles
Wood Composite profiles offer good strength to weight ratio, are durable with good dimensional stability, and are relatively inexpensive. Specialty grades can offer water, insect, corrosion and mildew resistance making them ideal for outdoor applications. Wood Composite profiles may be colored and provided with a wood grain although no surface finishing is necessary. Wood Composite profiles may be sanded, drilled or painted giving them great flexibility in the building industry. |
